Mission: Sand Sea Fun and Surf
Location: Risa Beach

Previously on Star Trek Tokyo:

"Lynette!" Nozomi called out. "You coming? We still need one more on the team!"

Lynette shot Yoshika an "I really don't want to, but I'm conflicted on what to do here" sort of look.

Yoshika looked at Lynette. "Well, I'm on team medical. So its likely we'll be against each other at some point..."

"A...gainst?" Lynette whimpered, evidently not all that appealed with the prospect of driving a wedge between her and Yoshika so early into their relationship- even if this was all supposed to be in the name of good, clean, competitive fun.

"Well, if you don't want to go against me. Come watch instead" Yoshika smiled as she took her hand and led her over towards the other medical officers.

"Ah, young love," Nozomi grinned as she watched Yoshika take Lynette off and dragged her off to go meet up with Team Medical. "Too pure of heart to betray the other's trust... what the lot of us wouldn't give to be so young and naive..."

She glanced back over at the other five pilots. "Of course, I guess that means we're now short a player..."

And now the continuation...

An Orion woman stepped forward. "I've only played a few times at the Academy", she said while nervously running a hand through her copper hair. "But I'll give the game a go."

"...And I guess six makes a team?" Nozomi remarked.

"Team starfighters ready!" Fubuki announced with a smile. "Let's show them what we're made of!"

"Team medical ready!" Amu also announced as the medic staff assumed around the doctor.

"Team Bridge to me!" Taiga called loudly. She hoped the bridge officers including herself would be able to make a good team, afterall they were mainly made up of senior officers.

Nezuko jumped up and down excitedly next to her Captain, ready and eager to have fun with her crewmates.

Meanwhile the other teams were all assembling a friendly chatter hung in the air as the Tokyo crew split up ready for sone friendly competition. It made a nice change, to do some Team building instead if constantly having to fight for their lives.

The Haliian wandered down the beach towards a large crowd of people. He raised an eyebrow as while it was typical for the white golden sandy beaches of Risa to be filled with people he didn't expect them to be in a large community of people. They were probably his new shipmates and a large Cheshire Cat smile broadened across his face. He couldn't recall the last time he participated in a team-building exercise. Most likely at Starfleet Academy.

He slowly strolled towards the large gathering of his future Tokyo community, "Got room for one more?"

"Ah Lieutenant Commander Febin right? Our new Chief Medical Officer?" Taiga asked with a smile. "Welcome, I'm Captain Taiga Aisaka. You can join the medical team over with Doctor Hinamori over there" she instructed pointing to Amu and the other medical staff nearby. "Its team volleyball, and we're doing it by station."

"Yes, but... how does that Earth saying go? Don't call me Maurice? Or don't call me late for...." the Haliian trailed off with a finger on his chin while he was deep in thought. He shook his head, "Nevermind, Captain. Pleasure to meet you."

Taiga simply smiled. Meanwhile Amu had noticed the new doctor and was waving him over.

Febin moved towards Amu and the rest of his Medical Team. He was fascinated by her choice of hair colour, a bright pink. All he could gather was the word, "Remarkable."

"Huh?" Amu replied slightly confused by the new guys comment. "Whats remarkable?" she asked.

"Your choice of hair colour is," the Haliian replied. "Humans will never cease to be remarkable, you're always full of surprises. I'm Doctor Febin. The new CMO but please call me Febin." He gently bowed his head with the crevice across his forehead towards the sand. Then rose his head offering her a reassuring smile, "Can you please explain to be the objective of 'Team Volleyball'?"

Amu smiled. "Thanks. I'm Doctor Amu Hinamori, I run the Flight Deck Sickbay. As for the volleyball game, we hit the ball over the net at the other team. They hit it back, if you manage to make it hit the ground on the opposite side you score a point. Thats basically it really, its just for a bit of fun." Amu explained. She unzipped her jacket to reveal a light green bikini beneath. Ikuto walked over to her and took it off her without a word. She thanked him as she held up a hand to shield her eyes from the bright sunshine.

"Oh, this is nurse Miyafuji." she said gesturing to the young petty officer who was next to her.

The Haliian followed suit as if it was some human rite as he took off his loose short-sleeved shirt and placed it with Amu's, "Amu, Miyafuji." He offered them both a smile, "I look forward to working with you both on the Toyko. But let's kick... their... buttheads? Did I say that right? So many human expressions I have not mastered."

"Close enough," Amu laughed. A micheavious grim stretched across her face. "If anyone gets hurt, at least team medical is here!" She added.

"They must surrender first," Febin said teasingly and shaking his head, "Not true. We've all said the Hippocratic Oath..."

"Thou shall do no harm..." Amu recited. "But, all is fair in love and war..." she teased.

Febin raised an eyebrow which slightly raised the crevice up on his forehead, "Sun Tzu's Art of War? If... I'm... not... mistaken? Earth literature is something I still have a lot of reading to do."

A rather mischeavous smile stretched across Taiga's face as she pulled something out of the bag that Ryuuji had bought. It was some sort of device shaped like a sphere, but it wasn't a ball as it was clearly made of metal and much heavier, plus it has a control panel.

Placing it gently into the sand, Taiga tapped one of the buttons and a holographic chart table appeared into the air. "Holographic tournament table. I thought it might come in useful."

The holographic table was bright enough to be seen in the bright Risian sunshine.

Vesper walked over to a six-foot-tall orange mass with three arms and three legs lounging back in a chair and drinking some fruity tropical drink. "Well, I see that you're still being a slacker on Marine time there Gunnery Sergeant Aren Na Eth." said Vesper with a smirking smile. "Well, I see the rumors are true, Corps kept you around and by the Edoan Gods gave you a promotion to Sergeant Major." said Gunnery Sergeant Eth. He then jumped up and embraced Vespertine in a bear hug. "It is good to see you again Vesper. Been a long time, heard you bumped up into Force Recon and got into a hell of a lot of mess during the war, in fact heard you almost bought it on the end Jem'Hadar Kar'takin." Vespertine laughed and stepped back, showing Eth the six-inch scar, she had. "Damn poison the Jem'Hadar use as an anti-coagulant poison, the Federation medical and science teams have no cure for. If you're lucky to survive it, you gain a nice scar. Attempts to revise the scars, cause the individual to bleed uncontrollably, and increases the size of the scar tissue once the bleeding is brought under control. Worse part is the damn scars tended to burn and itch at random times." Eth whistled, "Well we can have a drink and you can tell me all about it." he said. Vespertine smiled, "Sure after you come and play conventional volleyball with our new Marine CO, XO and 1st luey of first platoon, oh and the CO's daughter on team Marine, Big bosses orders." Gunnery Sergeant smirked "Do they know I was on the Marine Ranger's professional beach volleyball team?" Vesper smiled, "I don't think so, you're the ace in the hole." With that the two made their way over to the holographic chart table.
