| General Overview | Mikko is a very excitable person. She is passionate about flying and piloting. She is also very determined and very driven. She can sometimes be described as 'wild' and 'adventourous'. She has been known to take risks at times when piloting. As a person however she is usually nice and caring, she has a laid back attitude to life and believes everything happens at the right time, and the best way to approach life is to 'cross that bridge when you come to it'. When is is with friends she is the life of the party and can be a bit of a party animal. | |

| Personal History | Mikko was born in Osaka in Japan where she grew up an average life. Her father at the time was a Starfleet Officer who worked at the Utopia Planetia Fleet Yards. He was always back and forth with work. Being an only child Mikko often felt a little pushed out and wished for a brother or sister, but that never happened. It was on her first visit to Utopia Planetia that Mikko felt the forces of flying and instantly fell in love with it. She finished her schooling and then applied to Starfleet Academy. She passed the entrance exam and managed to enroll into the piloting course for Starfleet. She was determined to become an excellent pilot. Throughout her four years at the academy she was pulled into the commandants office for reckless flying, and no matter 'how good it looked' it was not acceptable. She had to straighten out in her forth year when she was threatened to be kicked out if she didn't stop pulling off the stunts in the shuttles and training crafts. She shaped up and managed to graduate the academy. She was in the top ten of her class at practical exercises for flying, but lacked drive in the more theory side, therefore she finished pretty average. Her first posting was aboard the USS Karen. At age twenty two she came went aboard the ship as a Junior Flight Officer. However after only a year she was put down to transfer off of the ship. Captain Johnson was worried about her flying skills, as he once told her 'I can hear the Nacelles groaning, slow down a little'. It probably didn't help that Mikko was pushing the little Miranda Class to its max. The position of Chief Flight Control Officer was open on the USS Tokyo, a carrier based starship. She immediatly applied and to her surprise got the job. She was looking forward to serving on a proper carrier where flying meant everything and she could be amongst other pilots. |
