Mission: Behind Closed Doors
Location: Various

Previously on Star Trek: Tokyo...

"Aisaka to all crew. Evacuate decks thirteen through fifteen" she said opening a shipwide channel so that everyone could hear. "Marines and all security teams report to all access points to deck Fourteen and seal them. Nothing gets through that isn't Starfleet!" she ordered.

"Engineering. Lock all Engineering systems with encryption codes and relocate immediately. Seal all Engineering access immediately" she ordered. There was no damn way she was going to risk any of her crew, she would sacrifice her ship if necessary.

Just as Taiga's orders came through, the COMM was overridden. Daxer's voice rang through, somewhat distorted by her implants. "We are the Borg. You will be assimilated." After that, the channel went silent.

And now the continuation....

[Bridge]

Taiga couldn't believe what she had heard. "I knew she hated me" she said with a sigh to break the tension on the bridge as she walked over towards the weapons locker. She tapped in her code and the panels in the walls all rotated to reveal phaser rifles, hand held phasers and even bladed weapons. She fastened a hand phaser to her belt, a rifle over her shoulder and a large knife on the other side of her belt.

"Arm up" she said. =A= Aisaka to all Security and Marine teams. Set phasers to kill. I repeat, set phasers to kill. If you come across any assimilated Tokyo crew. Kill them. Trust me, you're doing them a god damn favor =A=

T'Shenn popped out a few blades that seemed to be out of thin air and smiled.

Keith took the phaser that was handed him as he sat at his station on the bridge. With not much else to do, all he could do was monitor the battle and do his best, based on the information he had at his fingertips, to find some weakness they could exploit. He also had a hard time keeping his mind off his wife and children, they were as protected as possible but still in harms way.

Halden began to tremble a bit as she was on a bridge; what was she doing on the bridge during a Borg attack? All of her career in communications was through translating. Now she had a scree full of communications traffic and she was in the thick of it. Phasers... there was a scary thought; she was very good at hiding from notice; only on this ship had she really come to notice of anyone.

She knew one thing, Nicolas would not let them get her; he would take what is needed to save her, he was out there and as a safety net he would make sure the ship survived.

[Deck 14 - En route to Engineering]

As the small group of drones made their way towards Engineering, they strategically surrounded 6 of 12 for her protection.

It didn't take long for them to meet with resistance, as 3 officers who were heading to get off the deck ran up on them.

"Fire!" one of them ordered, and phaser beams lanced out one after the other. The drone in front of 6 of 12 hit the deck, but due to Jen being the one to setup the phaser rotations, that one shot was all they got, before the rest adapted.

The 3 officers were quickly surrounded, and assimilated, immediately adding more drones to the group.

"If it moves, assimilate it." 6 of 12 ordered as they began moving again.

[Engineering]

John swore as he started moving everyone out of Engineering. "Computer lock down all Engineering controls to me and me alone, command code Strayus Delta eight eight." Hearing the computer chirp he started sliding down the isolation fields and doors all around his area. "Captain, Engineering is locked down. I'm still here so let me know what you need done and it will be. All of my men have been ordered to grab weapons and help the Marines and Sec/Tac with repealing the boarders."

[Bridge]

"I'm locking down the main computer." Mimi announced sliding back into her chair after grabbing a hand phaser from the weapons locker, from what she'd been taught about the borg she knew that controlling the ships engineering and computer would be a top priority for them so she used the most complex encryption algorithm she knew.

Taiga nodded as consoles around the bridge began to reflect the changes in the computer being locked down. The Tokyo being a brand new Starship had one of the most Advanced Computer Systems that the Federation had ever built, yet it would still be easy for the Borg to overthrow its security and take control.

After finishing encrypting the computer Mimi accessed the internal sensors "Sensors are tracking 6 borg, deck 14 section 5."

Taiga looked up from the security console. "Close bulkheads around that area. Maximum forcefields, lets slow them down the best we can" Taiga said calmly.

Mimi nodded "Understood." She started to try and fence off the borg and keep them from engineering for as long a she could, hopefully long enough for sec/tac to set up an appropriate defense.

[Deck 14 - Section 5]

As the team of Borg drones moved down the corridor, force fields flashed into existence both in front, and behind them. 6 of 12 cocked her head curiously, before moving to the wall panel to begin the process of hacking the force fields.

With Daxer's high level Intelligence clearance codes that Even Taiga didn't know she had, it only took a minute or two, before both fields were down, and a lock out was in place to prevent further interference from force fields between their location, and Engineering.

As they got closer to Engineering, a group of Security officers stood between them, and the sealed Engineering doors, all of whom were armed with phaser rifles.

"Take 'em down!" One of them ordered, and all of them started firing, only to learn that the Borg had already adapted.

As the Borg drones advanced, one of the officers managed to tap their COMM badge. =A= Minnoe to bridge! The Borg have adapted to our phasers! Every shot is completely ineffective! =A=

Several of the Security team were quickly assimilated, but a few of them got away, and began to fall back in order to get off deck 14. In the fray, 4 more officers had been added to the Drone pool for a new total of 10... but now 6 of 12 stood studying the Engineering blast doors, as her, and the others formulated a strategy to override, or breech them.

Standing on the other side of the blast shield, John was busy welding it to the hull of the ship. Stop briefly, he looked at the Borg, and at Daxer. Shaking his head, he went back into welding mode, hoping that it would be sufficient enough for him not to be assimilated. "Sorry Dax," he said as he finished the weld, then slapped a button that would cause a silent countdown for a warp field rupture, effectively nuking the Engineering department. Nothing with the least bit of flesh to them would survive the coolant flooding the place. He was more than willing to give up his own life if meant that the Borg couldn't take over his home.

[Bridge]

T'Shenn looked at Tagia, "Send me down there, Captain. I have an idea. Maybe."

Taiga clenched her fists as she saw her the crew readings change on the Security console. She grinded her teeth as she tried to think what she wanted to do. She looked up at T'Shenn.
"Lieutenant. You were once a Chief Security Officer and have training in bladed weapons" Taiga said looking T'Shenn directly in the eyes. "Get down to the Sickbay area. I want you to protect the Civilian Population. Do NOT let them through to anyone, especially the children!"

T'Shenn's eyes narrowed. She growled but said, "Yes ma'am." She rushed off to the lift.

"Captain..." Halden said. "I can be of use there, I-I can help protect the children if you let me ma'am?" SHe had the expression of pleading and confidence in what she can do.

"Go with T'Shenn" Taiga said. "If you see anyone that is assimilated or being assimilated. Shoot them, DO NOT hesitate!".

Halden did not nod; she knew how to point a phaser but firing was another matter; she did not know if she could do it? She also knew not to let the Captain know it and followed T'Shenn.

[Orbital Space]

Trigman could do very little at the moment as the Borg forces were expanding. The two squadrons of fighters were more like flies if one really thought of it compared to the Tokyo, but a fighter has one real advantage in the small size, org do not use small craft and do not see them as a therat.

=^= Ready Fighters are launched sir.=^= the report came across the channel.

"All fighters to form squadron attack formations." Trigman announced over the channel. "Borg do NOT use small craft so we will be engaging the cube." He just hoped he had the right idea. "DO NOT return fire; you are to evade until you are on the surface of the cube then scan for a power relay and use the one shot you get to hit it before peeling out." Trigman suggested. "If you see a weapon take it out as well. Mostly we want power diswruption, make them use their resources to repair rather than attack and maybe open a few oppurtunities for the Tokyo to get in her licks." He glanced at the growing formation.

He had to think fast and he had thirty six fighters, the spares had pilots as this is an all or nothing fight, he could distribute them effectively for one massive attack that will do any good. It was a risk as he called out the fighter numbers of each squadron in his head. He could do something that was unconventional but effective and dangerous.

"Break into tandum formations; wingmen together, break into two flights per squadron." Trigman ordered quickly as the top side of the cube was his flights job. "Alpha squadron first flight positive 'Z' Side of the cube, 2nd Flight the positive X face." The latter half of the squadron the front side of the cube. "Beta Squadron first wing the negitive 'Y' face" KNowing that was the port side of the cube. "Beta flight the Negitive 'Z' of it." This covered four of the six sides. "GAmma Squadron 1st flight the the Positive 'Y' and 2nd flight the Negitive 'X' for attack." He had cast his dice. "All fighters break!" He ordered and hoped all his birds would come home but knew better.

"Trigman, Silica here. Where's a Borg Cube? I don't see it on sensors" Silica asked from her fighter as she fell into formation alongside him.
"Confirmed" Fubuki replied as well. "I'm only picking up Borg onboard the Tokyo. Should we dock home?" she asked as her fighter squadron fell into line alongside Silica and Trigmans.

"There has to be a cube of some sort of base; Borg cannot operate well without a base to relay the collective." Trigman said calmly. Gamma Squadron head back to see if you can do anything?" Trigman cursed the Sensory ghosts he had mistaken for an approaching cube. "

=A= Aisaka to Trigman. Do not dock home =A= Taiga's voice called. =A= We have hostile Borg approaching the fighter bays. It is unsafe to dock. Standby and patrol the surrounding area for Borg Vessel activity. I may need you yet... =A= The comm cut off. Taiga was relying on the fighters to be their sensors and their last port of call. Should the Tokyo be overrun to the point where only Taiga was left standing, she would give the order for the fighters to destroy the Tokyo.

"All fighters fan out to encompass the Tokyo, if something is on your sensors have verifacation." He had to have someone in the Software department and the Eletronics go over his fighter when this is all over. "Full sensory scans ; all directions and report anything out of the ordinary." He said over the comm channel.

"I will not let them get to you Lily." Trigman swore to himself and his wife. "Nothing trough this net."

[Civilian deck]

T'Shenn arrived, weapons out and ready to go. She had a scowl on her face.

Karlassa saw her mommy but said nothing noticing her face.

Meru nodded, lowering her rifle as T'Shenn and Halden came down the hallway. Daxer had recert'd her on the phaser pistol and cleared her to use both the phaser rifle and the TR series projectile weapons if that became needed. For now she was carrying the rifle, but carried a TR series pistol as a backup. "Status Ma'am?" she asked as T'Shenn approached.

T'Shenn said, "Borg. And the Captain doesn't think they can be saved."

To be continued...
