Welcome aboard the USS Tokyo!

TokyoPatchSmall.png"Sometimes you have to fight for the things that are worth fighting for." - Arrietty.

The year is 2397.

With the recent escalations of violence and unrest within the Alpha and Beta Quadrants, Starfleet recognised a need for a fast ship that can be deployed as a rapid response vessel. After six years of development Starfleet Corps of Engineers started to lay down the spaceframe for four new carrier type vessels, the USS Armitage, USS Tokyo, USS Oceania and the USS Broadsword.

The Armitage Class vessels are an upgraded version of the highly successful Akira class starships. They are designed as rapid response attack carriers, capable of high speed deployment of fighters and auxiliary craft as well as specialist operations in deep space. These first two vessels of the class, USS Armitage and USS Tokyo were launched in 2390 and have been in service since.

The USS Tokyo is the second vessel of the class and is currently commanded by Captain Taiga Aisaka. The Tokyo's main mission is to patrol the Federation's Neutral Zones, shipping lanes and eliminate any threats to protect the security of the Federation. From managing civilian traffic to engaging potential invasion forces the Armitage classes are built to defend the security of the Federation and this is the Tokyo's main mission.

» USS Tokyo Celebrates 10 Years!

10 Years!

Yes, you read that correctly!

Today marks the founding of the USS Tokyo, which was Ten Years ago today! In all honesty, I never thought that this ship would last ten years. It is a milestone that few Star Trek Sims/RPG's ever hit. The average life of a Star Trek sim is 4-5 years, so hitting 10 is remarkable.

Hitting this milestone is not just a testiment to the ship, but also to its crew and every single one of you. I often describe this ship as a home, and a family and we have now some of…

Merry Christmas!

On behalf of the command staff of the USS Tokyo, I would like to take a moment to wish every single one of you a Merry Christmas for 2024! We've had an absolutely fantastic year! I am so proud of every single member of this crew. It's not often that a group of writers gel so well together and pull it off not only fantastically, but in their own style!

This year we had one of our longest running missions in the entire history of the Tokyo and you guys were throwing ideas, subplots and everything into it!…

To all crew!

First of all I want to thank you all for another fantastic year aboard the Tokyo! Whether you've only been here a month, or numerous years, you have all been a wonderful crew and group of people to write with! The Tokyo has become more than just a Star Trek RPG on the internet. We have become a close knit group of friends, and family! I can't thank you enough for all of your efforts and support throughout this last year!

With that aside, I want to take a few moments to talk about this time of…

Mission: Preserving The Past
Posted on Tue Jul 1st, 2025 @ 2:55am by Captain Taiga Aisaka & Commander Chisato Nishikigi

Taiga made her way down to a part of the ship she didn't often frequent; the Intelligence center. She had to speak to her Chief of Intelligence about a few things.

Upon her arrival at the Ingtelligence Center, however, she was greeted for her troubles with an error message saying that the facility was locked and only officers of a certain security clearance were allowed inside.

"You keep this locked? Seriously?" Taiga's voice could be heard from the otherside of the door.

"Yes!" Commander Nishikigi called back. "We deal with very sensitive information in here!"

The door opened to reveal…

Mission: Preserving The Past
Posted on Mon Jun 30th, 2025 @ 2:34pm by Rear Admiral Rimuru Tempest & Captain Taiga Aisaka & Commander Thomas Johnson

Taiga stepped out of her ready room and onto the Bridge. All was relatively quiet at the moment. She looked over at the viewscreen to see Starbase 234 looming over them. It wasn't exactly a huge starbase, but it was still far bigger than the Tokyo.

"Commander," she said approaching her Executive Officer. "Ready to go? We don't want to be late for the Admiral."

Thomas looked to the base. "Truth be told, I wasn't sure we would get back here. Glad I was wrong."

"I know that feeling." Taiga smiled softly. "Come on then, let's go see what awaits…

Mission: Preserving The Past
Posted on Mon Jun 30th, 2025 @ 2:33pm by Captain Taiga Aisaka & Lieutenant Commander Talia Johnson

After seeing Nezuko, there was another conversation that Taiga needed to have. She pulled up the records on her computer console and then again rapped her comm badge. "Counsellor Johnson, report to my ready room." She stated simply.

In her office Talia was just finishing off her appointment schedule when Taiga’s voice came over the comms. “Ackowledged Captain.” Setting out it didn’t take her long to reach the ready room, pressing the chime she waited for an answer.

The doors opened and Taiga beckoned her in. "Come on in Talia." She said with a smile. "Take a seat, no need…

Mission: Preserving The Past
Posted on Sat Jun 28th, 2025 @ 11:52pm by Captain Taiga Aisaka & Lieutenant Nezuko

With the Tokyo now back at Starbase 234, everything was in a constant state of change. The civilian population aboard the Tokyo had now been removed due to the Iconian Threat and the roll out of new armoured uniforms and equipment was well underway.

Taiga pulled at the collar of her new command uniform, black, with a red stripe across the chest and white shoulders to indicate she was a command officer. The ranks once again now sat on her collar, four silver rectangle pips. The only part that remained the same was the comm badge, which she tapped.

"Lieutenant…

Mission: Preserving The Past
Posted on Sat Jun 28th, 2025 @ 11:02am by Captain Taiga Aisaka

Captains Log. Captain Taiga Aisaka - Starship Tokyo.

Its been Three Weeks since the Tokyo was 'ejected' from the Iconian Dyson Sphere. The Sphere itself somehow 'jumped' from the Andromeda Galaxy to the Iconia System. It now looms over what was once their old homeworld, right in the middle of the Romulan Neutral Zone.

Of course this has caused some major concern not just from The Federation, but the Romulans and even the Klingons. Any attempts at contacting the Iconians has gone ignored. Any probes to enter the system have been destroyed. Three days ago a Romulan Warbird attempting to…

Posted on Mon Sep 7th, 2020 @ 12:51pm by Lieutenant Takeshi Nakazato 'Zack'

Air Boss' Personal Log,

With the unexpected arrival of Admiral Miyahara, my old CO, I find myself in an awkward position: The crew of the Tokyo are counting on me to do the right thing and help them fight this, but at the same time, I can't in good conscience disagree with the man who has become my mentor. To do so would alienate myself from not only him but the friends I still have aboard his ship.

I still consider the Myogi my home, and her crew my family, contrary to the Tokyo where everyone is quick to make…

Security Officer's Log,

I've spent only a short time back aboard the USS Tokyo, and already things are getting rough.

A few minutes ago, I kicked the Marine CO, and his XO out of my office.

They intimidated one of my officers, lied about why they were here, laughed when ordered to attention, and proceeded to insult me.

I can see things just haven't really changed here...

Posted on Wed Jul 22nd, 2020 @ 12:00am by Lieutenant Takeshi Nakazato 'Zack'

Air Boss' log;

Gosh, how weird it is to open like that, but since I lost the Second Officer's commission, I can no longer open these logs as normal. Perhaps I'm going to stop doing them...

Oh, boy, what a day it has been! It has been a week and a half today...

For starters, the briefing went horribly wrong: My plan for building trust and camaraderie with the pilots went south fast. Some pilot decided he didn't like what I was planning on doing, and called me many things in front of the CO, and I counted at least…

» Captains Log - What a Day!

Posted on Mon Jun 1st, 2020 @ 5:42am by Captain Taiga Aisaka

Captains Log

Its been a hard day on the Tokyo, especially for me. Our orders were simple, report to the outpost to pick up some classified information. I was not expecting my old first officer waiting for me there. At first I believed she was stationed on the outpost, but when she told me that she was my replacement Chief of Security I could have freaked out. Luckily I didn't.

I've still been having those awful nightmares about her ever since we encountered that virus made by the Cardassians. That was all quickly swept under the rug wasn't it. No…

Second officer's log:

Since my last entry, we have successfully managed to get the Tokyo back up and running and pointed back in the direction of Federation space.

Since there's nothing better to do now that we're back underway, I have had the privilege to meet some of the folks I didn't have a chance to now that the atmosphere on board is much calmer.

Even before we had the ship fully operational, I met this woman around my age who called herself 'Bobcat'. After reviewing her personnel file, I can deduce that she is in fact Bobbie Sue Hunter,…
