Captains Log

Its been a hard day on the Tokyo, especially for me. Our orders were simple, report to the outpost to pick up some classified information. I was not expecting my old first officer waiting for me there. At first I believed she was stationed on the outpost, but when she told me that she was my replacement Chief of Security I could have freaked out. Luckily I didn't.

I've still been having those awful nightmares about her ever since we encountered that virus made by the Cardassians. That was all quickly swept under the rug wasn't it. No doubt this log entry will be classified and locked away in some secure vault as well. Regardless, I am... pleased to see she is recovering nicely. Although she still has some unremovable Borg implants, I believe she will make a damn fine asset to the crew.

Regarding the crew. Oh boy, where to start. The pilots briefing was a complete disaster. Lieutenant Nakazato seems to be struggling to fit in here on the Tokyo. Transfering from the Myogi he seems to think that he's the 'top boss' amongst the pilots on ship. I hate to burst his bubble, but he really isn't. We've got some of the best pilots in The Federation and Starfleet on board, as have the other three Armitage Class Starships currently in service.

He showed himself up at the briefing. I understand he has his own problems, but nearly storming out like a child was not what I expect of a senior officer, on any ship. Also, due to his actions disciplining and grounding the entire flight wing, Commander Trigman resigned his position. Then asked for it back after calming down I thought I was indecisive.

I have therefore removed Nakazato as the ships second officer, I can't trust someone who is so willing to show off, put others at risk and abuse his command authority in such a position. He may get it back if he proves to me that he can do the job without allowing his emotions to control him. Also arguing with me isn't helping his case.

We are currently en route to an Asteroid Field on the edge of the Neutral Zone. We are to conduct training exercises with all personnel and aramaments. With some recent upgrades installed it'll be good to see what this ship and its fighter craft can do. Plus it should help build some bonds and trust amongst the crew, I really hope it does.

Its been an eventful day, one of my longest it seems since commanding the Tokyo. Now all I need if for Ryuuji to burn dinner or something and it'll all be complete. What a day.

End Log
