Welcome aboard the USS Tokyo!

TokyoPatchSmall.png"Sometimes you have to fight for the things that are worth fighting for." - Arrietty.

The year is 2396.

With the recent escalations of violence and unrest within the Alpha and Beta Quadrants, Starfleet recognised a need for a fast ship that can be deployed as a rapid response vessel. After six years of development Starfleet Corps of Engineers started to lay down the spaceframe for four new carrier type vessels, the USS Armitage, USS Tokyo, USS Oceania and the USS Broadsword.

The Armitage Class vessels are an upgraded version of the highly successful Akira class starships. They are designed as rapid response attack carriers, capable of high speed deployment of fighters and auxiliary craft as well as specialist operations in deep space. These first two vessels of the class, USS Armitage and USS Tokyo were launched in 2390 and have been in service since.

The USS Tokyo is the second vessel of the class and is currently commanded by Captain Taiga Aisaka. The Tokyo's main mission is to patrol the Federation's Neutral Zones, shipping lanes and eliminate any threats to protect the security of the Federation. From managing civilian traffic to engaging potential invasion forces the Armitage classes are built to defend the security of the Federation and this is the Tokyo's main mission.

» USS Tokyo Celebrates 10 Years!

10 Years!

Yes, you read that correctly!

Today marks the founding of the USS Tokyo, which was Ten Years ago today! In all honesty, I never thought that this ship would last ten years. It is a milestone that few Star Trek Sims/RPG's ever hit. The average life of a Star Trek sim is 4-5 years, so hitting 10 is remarkable.

Hitting this milestone is not just a testiment to the ship, but also to its crew and every single one of you. I often describe this ship as a home, and a family and we have now some of…

Merry Christmas!

On behalf of the command staff of the USS Tokyo, I would like to take a moment to wish every single one of you a Merry Christmas for 2024! We've had an absolutely fantastic year! I am so proud of every single member of this crew. It's not often that a group of writers gel so well together and pull it off not only fantastically, but in their own style!

This year we had one of our longest running missions in the entire history of the Tokyo and you guys were throwing ideas, subplots and everything into it!…

To all crew!

First of all I want to thank you all for another fantastic year aboard the Tokyo! Whether you've only been here a month, or numerous years, you have all been a wonderful crew and group of people to write with! The Tokyo has become more than just a Star Trek RPG on the internet. We have become a close knit group of friends, and family! I can't thank you enough for all of your efforts and support throughout this last year!

With that aside, I want to take a few moments to talk about this time of…

To all crew of the USS Tokyo!

Well done to you all, I will work on giving everyone who participated a special Nano 2023 medal on their user profiles! I am so happy we managed to complete this challenge as a team and a…

Mission: Younger Years

There it stood like a palace in front of her. The pearly white buildings that stood against the baby blue sky and shite fluffy clouds. This was no ordinary complex of buildings, they were far more than steel, concrete and glass. Indeed, for these buildings changed the life of everyone who walked through those gates, some for the better, some for the worse. But it was guaranteed that your life would change opnce you take your first step onto this hallowed sacred ground.

There she stood, a young woman, her light brown hair running down her back and her hazel…

Warning: this post contains mild depictions of animal cruelty that even the writer was not comfortable with; viewer discretion is advised.

"Stop! You're gonna hurt him!"

"Relax, Pipsqueak! He's just about dead anyways!"

Nine-year-old Chisato Nishikigi fought back tears as she struggled against the two older boys holding her back. In front of her stood a third boy, his boot hovering just inches away from a wounded rabbit that was teetering on the brink of life and death. The four of them had come across the rabbit in the woods behind the orphanage, most likely the victim of a fox…

Previously on Star Trek Tokyo:
"Dear God..." Chisato gasped.

"And just when I was beginning to think we'd escaped from all of this body horror bullshit..." Mizuki groaned, looking like she was about to be sick again.

Talia was looking around, her senses were fuzzy thanks to the drugs in her system so she wasn’t picking up on as much as she usually did. “Has anyone seen Commander Johnson?”

"He's not with you?" Takina remarked.

"No?" Liz asked, confused.

Talia looked around worriedly, if Thomas wasn’t with the others where was he?

While the others were talking, Jen was looking…

Previously on Star Trek Tokyo...

"A good soldier never leaves a man behind!" Chiyo exclaimed. "It was our mission to rescue you, Captain, and I don't intend to act out the contingency of the mission!"

Suddenly, Nezuko’s eyes opened wide as an idea hit her like a sack of bricks. She typed furiously into her tricorder. “If we cannot beam everyone out, can we eject the pods? If they get thrown clear of the station, and if the life support systems are adequate, we can recover them later. It may only buy us minutes, but minutes may be all we…

"You know, Kisad;" He began. "These wings are on fire tonight; I'm going to go up to the bar and see if I can get another drink..."

As he stood up, he moved over to Kisad and leaned into the Bajoran man's ear.

"If all goes well, checkout time at the motel is at 1100 hours." He whispered. "Pick me up then, yeah?"

Kisad nodded. He could tell that the younger man's mind wasn't at all on test studying ever since they walked in, and Kisad understood and respected the want to "live while one…

Posted on Mon Sep 7th, 2020 @ 12:51pm by Lieutenant Takeshi Nakazato 'Zack'

Air Boss' Personal Log,

With the unexpected arrival of Admiral Miyahara, my old CO, I find myself in an awkward position: The crew of the Tokyo are counting on me to do the right thing and help them fight this, but at the same time, I can't in good conscience disagree with the man who has become my mentor. To do so would alienate myself from not only him but the friends I still have aboard his ship.

I still consider the Myogi my home, and her crew my family, contrary to the Tokyo where everyone is quick to make…

Security Officer's Log,

I've spent only a short time back aboard the USS Tokyo, and already things are getting rough.

A few minutes ago, I kicked the Marine CO, and his XO out of my office.

They intimidated one of my officers, lied about why they were here, laughed when ordered to attention, and proceeded to insult me.

I can see things just haven't really changed here...

Air Boss' log;

Gosh, how weird it is to open like that, but since I lost the Second Officer's commission, I can no longer open these logs as normal. Perhaps I'm going to stop doing them...

Oh, boy, what a day it has been! It has been a week and a half today...

For starters, the briefing went horribly wrong: My plan for building trust and camaraderie with the pilots went south fast. Some pilot decided he didn't like what I was planning on doing, and called me many things in front of the CO, and I counted at least…

» Captains Log - What a Day!

Captains Log

Its been a hard day on the Tokyo, especially for me. Our orders were simple, report to the outpost to pick up some classified information. I was not expecting my old first officer waiting for me there. At first I believed she was stationed on the outpost, but when she told me that she was my replacement Chief of Security I could have freaked out. Luckily I didn't.

I've still been having those awful nightmares about her ever since we encountered that virus made by the Cardassians. That was all quickly swept under the rug wasn't it. No…

Second officer's log:

Since my last entry, we have successfully managed to get the Tokyo back up and running and pointed back in the direction of Federation space.

Since there's nothing better to do now that we're back underway, I have had the privilege to meet some of the folks I didn't have a chance to now that the atmosphere on board is much calmer.

Even before we had the ship fully operational, I met this woman around my age who called herself 'Bobcat'. After reviewing her personnel file, I can deduce that she is in fact Bobbie Sue Hunter,…
