Mission:
Andromeda
Location: Bridge
Previoulsy on Star Trek Tokyo:
"You sure that brilliant husband of yours hasn't been brainwashed into trying to murder us at any cost?" Liz asked.
“Certainly not!” Talia shook her head. “There has to be something, a backdoor that Tom would have left us. He obviously didn’t use his command codes to lock us out of the system, we’d be able to retrieve those details although we’d have to have contact with Starfleet to get them.” She paused. “Right…get what fighters and shuttles we’ve got to spare out there. We also need to consider evacuating the ship, incase we don’t get the systems up and running in time.”
Mikko's fingers ran across the helm. "All Starfighters have returned to the ship sir." She turned in her chair to face Talia. "There is a way to unlock the commanders lockouts, but it's... risky."
And now the continuation...
“How risky?” Talia turned to look at Mikko.
"We purge the command processors and the computers active memory. Once it resets, everything, Theoretically should go back to normal." Mikko said. "I did a class in computer Ops at the Academy..." she added explaining why she knew about this procedure.
“If it’s an option that’s likely to work then I’ll go with it.” Talia nodded.
"We can try that first:" Liz agreed. "Then if it doesn't work, there is one more option..."
“Which is?” Talia gave Liz her full attention.
"Major Shimada was working with Commander Nishikigi on developing an override code that would lock out both Captain Aisaka and Commander Johnson's access in an extreme emergency. She's only shared it with two other people, and seeing as the other person she's entrusted the code with is otherwise preoccupied..."
Talia nodded. “If it’s the only option we have? What about Lieutenants Inoue and Monroe? Could we get them working on the problem?”
"That's provided they can hear our instructions clearly," one of the Ops Officers pointed out. "Until we do something about the comms breakup, we might as well try speaking to them in gibberish."
Talia sighed. “Right…in that case we try going with the override code. We need our systems back online and we need them now!”
Liz nodded and stepped around the tactical station to the command pit:
"Computer:" She called out. "Activate MACO Emergency Override: Authorization code Alice Shimada - October 24, 2382."
Several seconds passed, but the computer eventually beeped in acknowledgement.
"MACO Emeregency Override Confirmed:" The computer spoke a voice acknowledgement. "Command codes have been transferred to Captain Elizabeth Beurling."
"Computer, disarm auto destruct:" Liz ordered next. "Autthorization code Beurling-Vespa-3-1-9-0."
The computer beeped once again.
"To disarm auto destruct, voice prints from two additional senior officers are required."
“Two additional?” Talia sighed, this was becoming silly. “Computer, Authorization code Johnson-Calypso-6-2-9-3.” She just hoped her code was senior enough.
The doors of the bridge opened and in walked Lieutenant Commander Ryuuji Takasu. "Computer, authorisation code Takasu 3-6-8-1 Delta." He said simply as he made his way down towards the command chairs. He instantly looked around for Taiga but couldn't spot her.
"Auto-destruct aborted." The computer called out with a beep.
"Counsellor." He said simply. He was focused on his job and how he could help. "TIC is back and operational, however I thought you could use my help up here. Since Taiga seem's to be absent."
With the crisis seemingly averted, Liz breathed a sigh of relief.
"Computer, transfer command codes to Lieutenant Talia Johnson." She quickly instructed, repeating her command code.
"Counsellor. Care to let me know whats going on? Where is my wife?" Ryuuji asked crossing his arms.
Talia gave a quiet sigh of relief. “I’m afraid the Captain has been taken, we don’t know where they took her, but we have reason to believe Commander Johnson is also a prisoner.”
Ryuuji sighed. "Of course. It sounds just like her." He looked around the bridge and then back to Talia. "It seems that the Tokyo is yours at the moment counsellor. What's our next move?"
Suddenly the red alert sounded as the Tokyo began to shake.
"Woah..." Mikko said from the helm. "Counsellor, its not just us shaking. But the entire Dyson Sphere. Its vibrating. The amount of energy its emitting is off the scale!" She reported from the helm. "Something strange is going on.!"
Talia hung on as the ship shook. "To answer your question Commander, we were just debating the next move when you came onto the bridge. We needed to regain control of the ship's systems first."
"Well..." Ryuuji said as he held onto one of the nearby consoles for support. "Perhaps we should focus on diverting more power to the intertial dampners..."
"I'm doing that..." Mikko called back over the shaking. "Buts its not enough!"
