Mission: Andromeda
Location: Iconian Council Chamber - Andromeda Dyson Sphere

The circular room where the Iconians often met suddenly burst into life. One by one they emerged 'poofing' into the room in their black smoke. There was a sense or urgency in them, almost in a state of panic.

"M'Tara!" T'Ket called out at the arrival of her sister. "The Gateways in the Milky Way have been activated and brought online. It is time!"

"No it is not!" M'Tara responded approaching her Iconian sister. "These Humans are not ready. They are only here because of your meddling in their galaxy." M'Tara stated.

"We all agreed!" T'Ket stated. "Once a species from the Milky Way Galaxy reaches us and has the ability to reactivate the gateways. That is when we, their gods will descend to bring order to their chaos."

"That sounds like that species you are fascinated with... What are they called again?" M'Tara said.

"Borg." T'Ket. "They will be a big threat to us, however we are gods. They cannot stand against us."

"I said no T'Ket!" M'Tara told her, a hint of sterness in her voice. "We are not to act. We must find a way to shut off the gateways. If they know of them, they will destroy that Galaxy. Our Galaxy."

"There is no way to shut down the network again. You remember it can only be initated from the homeworld. And that was taken from us! Along with the World Heart!" T'Ket growled. "It cannot be done. But we can walk in and take back what was once ours."

"You challenge me sister?" M'Tara asked.

A long black and purple spear appeared in T'Kets hand. "If I must. I do not wish to hurt you dear sister. However you have forgotton the prophecy. We must take action now. Before the situation becomes too dire."

"I disagree with you." M'Tara said as she floated forward. "We do not kill our own T'Ket."

"We do not. I know. However." T'Ket looked directly at her sister. "I will do what must be done to ensure the survival of our race, and to maintain our supremacy. I will return us to the Milky Way Galaxy. We shall rule over it once again as the gods that we are!"

M'Tara stopped. "You shall be unsuccessful. This council will not allow it."

"The prophecy has been fufilled M'Tara. The Gateways are back online. It was your protocol that we are following." One of the Iconians behind her spoke.

Slowly M'Tara rotated. "You agree with T'Ket. As is your right. I do not believe that the Galaxy is ready for their gods return."

There was a few murmours and chatters amongst the Iconians. It seemed as if they were discussing it amongst themselves, attempting to pick a side between either T'Ket or M'Tara.

"Enough of this." M'Tara stated. "We are not ready to return. We have yet to accomplish. We haven't had the amount of time we allocated. The predicition of One Millions Cycles is not yet complete."

"I agree. Enough of this." T'Ket said from behind her.

Then suddenly M'Tara let out a strange sound, like something hitting her in the back. She looked down to see T'Ket's spear emerged from her body of energy. It's black menacing blade had ripped right through her.

"I am taking command." T'Ket stated. "Your time as supreme ruler is over M'Tara. You failed us against them last time, resulting in the withdrawl from our galaxy and homeland. I will take back what was ours, and I will ensure they learn their place."

T'Ket pulled back the spear, withdrawing it from M'Tara's body. M'Tara collapsed to the floor, the energy that made up her body flickering like flames starting to turn to embers. "You... Shall not... get away... with this... T'Ket!" she spluttered.

In a brief second, M'Tara was surrounded by black smoke and disappeared from the council chamber.

"And so she runs as usual. Like always." T'Ket said. She turned to the others spear still in hand. "I have defeated M'Tara. Although she will likely live, she has deserted this council and her sisters. I am taking charge now."

A deathly silence fell upon the entire room for what seemed like an eternity. Finally one of the Iconians broke the eerily long silence. "What should we do T'Ket?"

"Power up the Omega Engine. We are returning to our Galaxy..."

To be continued...
