Mission: Caught in the Cracks
Location: Various Locations

[Bridge]

A small alarm began to sound. Taiga looked down at her chair arm console and frowned. "Everyone" she said standing up and retrieving a phaser from under her chair. "Arm yourselves, phaser fire has been detected by the sensors on several decks" she said. She looked over to T'Shenn.

"We don't have time for this Lieutenant" she said simply her eyes locked with her Chief of Security. "Find Commander Tau'Ri and bring her up here" she ordered her. Without the commander there was no way of the Tokyo ever escaping the void between the two dimensions. They needed a course to plot, and she was the only one with that information.

Taiga made her way over to the security station and relieved the officer stood there. "I'm going to use the forcefields to shut off areas of the ship" she said simply. She stopped T'Shenn before she left. "Once you're out there, you're going to have to get back here with the commander alive. I don't think it's going to be easy so use as many men as you need to" she told her.

"Lieutenant Mimi" Taiga said as she looked over at the nearby Operations Console. "I want you to secure all of our critical systems. I'm going to lock down the bridge."

Taiga sat back in the chair at the security console, her eyes watching the screen closely. Right now all the matters was the safety and security of her ship, she needed to get her crew back and home safely.

[Elsewhere]

Alora was a turbolift away from the bridge. She wasn't sure where Alex was right now, but she needed his help to get them out of null space. "Alora to Alex."

"This is Alex." Alex replied, sounding a bit out of breath. "One sec, Hun." Suddenly weapons fire could he heard in the background, as well as shouting. "Pit! Your 3 o'clock!"

"On it, Boss!" Pitbull replied loudly before shooting back.

"Dutch! Where the hell is that force field?!" Alex shouted before firing a couple of shots from his cover.

"I'm trying, Boss." Dutch replied while frantically working at a panel.

"Do-" Alex began before being cut off.

"Do or do not, Dutch. There is no try." Jazz shouted from her position.

Alex rolled his eyes before shooting again. He turned back into his cover and shouted towards Jazz. "Don't take my lines, Jazz!"

"Your lines?!" She replied before running from her cover towards, Alex's cover while shooting in between. She leaned against the wall and looked over to him, slightly out of breath. "I taught you that one or did you forget."

Alex shook his head before popping out of his cover and taking a few shots, connected with two Mirror officers. "You're in a new body, Grimm. Get some new ones." He shouted back before leaning back against the wall again by Jazz. "Go ahead, Hun."

"I've got the data to get out of here, but I'll need you and your team. We have to go out the same spot we came in, and only you can find it."

There was another shot to her left. "If we get through this in one piece."

"We'll get out of here in one piece." Alex replied with a smile. "They don't call me, Lucky for nothing."

Jazz raised a brow and looked over to him puzzled. "No one calls you that." She suddenly leaned down and shouted into Alex's combadge. "No one calls him that."

Alex rolled his eyes and shook his head. "You know what, Grimm? You are, somehow, much more annoying not that you are in a woman." He let out a sigh before clearing his throat and responding to Alora. "Let me know your location, Alora. I'll be right there."

She had to smile at the conversation on Alex' end. "Deck two, just outside the turbolift to the bridge," Alora answered. "I can wait here, or meet you on the bridge."

"Wait for me there. I'm not that far." Alex replied, looking over to Pitbull. "John? I'm going to meet up with Alora by the bridge. You and the team head to the Prowler and get ready to send the navigation log to the bridge."

"Absolutely. We'll get it done." Pitbull replied with a bit of a smirk. "Go get your girl. We'll be alright."

"I'm not so sure." Dutch replied.

Alex looked over to Jazz who responded by shrugging in confusion. He soon turned to Dutch and ask reluctantly. "Want to let us in on what's going through your mind?"

"I've looked more into that theory about the results of the two ships separating in this anomaly and we may have a problem." Dutch shouted reluctantly before continuing. "We weren't on either ships when this combination occurred and so the thought comes to mind-"

"What will happen to us?" Pitbull replied, finishing Dutch's sentence. "I hope that brain of yours has come up with a conclusion."

"Actually, I've come up with one of three possible outcomes." Dutch answered.

"So? Out with it." Alex shouted firmly.

"One: The ships separate and we end up on the Terrian Empire Tokyo. We fight our way to the Prowler's location and have a chance of escaping." Dutch said, looking around at the team.

"We can work with that one." Jazz added with a reluctant smile.

Dutch cleared his throat and continued. "Two: The ships separate and we end up on the Starfleet Tokyo. No escape and we all live happily every after."

"This is the option we are shooting for, Right?" Pitbull replied, looking over to Alex.

"I know how much you love a good fight, John, but yes. This is the one we are shooting for." Alex replied with a smirk before looking to Dutch and asking. "And three?

"Three: Ships separate. We aren't a part of either and we die."

Jazz looked over to Alex and said. "That one doesn't work for me."

"Me either." Alex replied before looking around. "Okay. I vote for two? All in favor?"

"Aye!" The team shouted in unison.

"Opposed?" Alex asked, looking around at the team.

Pitbull popped out of his cover and shot one of the advancing Terrain Officers. He went back into cover before looking around at everyone and saying. "I think he was going to say "Nay". Crisis averted."

Alex laughed softly before looking to Dutch and saying firmly. "We'll go with Option Two, Dutch. Make it happen."

Dutch raised a brow. "I'm not sure I can make it happen, Boss. It's a theory."

"Well, what will be the best way to help us get out of this without dying?" Pitbull shouted.

Dutch paused for a moment, thinking before adding. "Well... being on the Prowler will certainly help our chances. It was the primary craft we used to enter this anomaly and we were brought aboard by the Starfleet Tokyo, which may help on our favor. Truth is, its hard to say. It's just a theory."

"It's better than nothing." Pitbull said before looking over to Alex. "What about you? You're going in the opposite direction."

"Noticed that, did you?" Alex replied with a smirk. "I got to get to her, John. All this time, if things go bad, I want her to be the last thing I see. My other options are... well... you guys."

Pitbull laughed before shaking his head. "You got it. We'll keep a transporter lock on you as long as we can. Hopefully, we can bring you on board before these ships separate."

Alex nodded his head. "You catch all that, Hun?" He said to Alora. "Any objection's?"

"I heard it. You need to be on the Prowler, Alex. Maybe you can fly into the Tokyo's shuttle bay as we're exiting this place?" She hoped so. She didn't want to lose him now that they were back together.

Alora heard footsteps approaching and turned, phaser raised. When she saw a fellow crewman, she lowered her weapon, only to raise it again when a disruptor blast blossomed out of his chest. Behind him, an angry MU security officer swore. Before she could fire again, Alora stunned her and then pulled him to the turbolift. One way or another, he could answer some of their questions.

Hearing the commotion, Alex looked to John and replied quickly into the combadge. "I'm headed to you, Alex out."

"Boss?" Pitbull asked.

"Give me your knife." Alex said to Jazz, who reluctantly handed him her knife. "John? Get to the Prowler. Prepare the nav info to be sent to the bridge on my order." He turned the knife downward in his hand and raised his phaser with the other hand before looking out in the direction he was going to go in. "You have your orders. Do it." He began to walk off.

Jazz looked between Pitbull and Alex before finally facing Pitbull. She removed her second knife from her boot and smirked. "Don't Worry. I got his six. You heard the Boss. Move out." She began to follow Alex.

"You heard the boss. Let's go! Double Time!" Pitbull shouted before moving int he opposite direction.

Alora was torn between taking the unconscious woman to the bridge, or into one of the rooms nearby. She needed information and there was one way to be sure she got it. The question was, did she have time? Then again, if she knew who was behind the mutiny, she could tell the Captain, and that could help them stop it before it got any worse.

Alex. She had to wait for Alex. Then she could decide.

To be continued...
