Welcome aboard the USS Tokyo!
"Sometimes you have to fight for the things that are worth fighting for." - Arrietty.
The year is 2396.
With the recent escalations of violence and unrest within the Alpha and Beta Quadrants, Starfleet recognised a need for a fast ship that can be deployed as a rapid response vessel. After six years of development Starfleet Corps of Engineers started to lay down the spaceframe for four new carrier type vessels, the USS Armitage, USS Tokyo, USS Oceania and the USS Broadsword.
The Armitage Class vessels are an upgraded version of the highly successful Akira class starships. They are designed as rapid response attack carriers, capable of high speed deployment of fighters and auxiliary craft as well as specialist operations in deep space. These first two vessels of the class, USS Armitage and USS Tokyo were launched in 2390 and have been in service since.
The USS Tokyo is the second vessel of the class and is currently commanded by Captain Taiga Aisaka. The Tokyo's main mission is to patrol the Federation's Neutral Zones, shipping lanes and eliminate any threats to protect the security of the Federation. From managing civilian traffic to engaging potential invasion forces the Armitage classes are built to defend the security of the Federation and this is the Tokyo's main mission.

8 years ago, I started an experimental sim, a rapid response attack carrier. I decided to use the Armitage Class from Star Trek Online and put a midget, hot-headed Japanese captain in command. Honestly, I never thought that it would last a year, nevermimd eight!
But here we are! Eight years later and stronger than ever!
I want to take a moment to thank you all for being part of the incredible journey, and I am hoping to see many more!

To all crew!
It's December, so that means I am re-opening our annual Christmas side mission. It's not mandatory, however allows you to do some festive writing out of timeline.
All posts will happen out of the current Tokyo Timeline, so feel free to do some character development in a festive setting. So sit with friends and family around a fire, do a Christmas holonovel or share gifts with friends and family. This is the season to show your characters at Christmas and being together as a crew!
I'll be starting a post as a social interaction for us all on ship.
I look forward to seeing what you guys come up with!

To all crew!
We have finally finished the Elachi Invasion Arc! This arc involved three missions where we saw the Elachi return to assist the Tal Shiar. It finally ended with a big boom in the last mission, Operation Romulus Return.
Operation Romulus Return was our longest mission to date, putting out a record breaking 393 posts! Well done to you all!
New Mission!
Our new mission is going to be set on Risa, or is going to be mainly character development based. We have been granted three weeks shoreleave whilst the Tokyo is undergoing repairs. However, you don't have to go to Risa, the entire Federation is available for you to visit for your R&R.
I look forward to seeing some awesome character development and personal subplots. I am willing to assist in any where I can, so please drop me a PM should you wish to write a subplot.
Recruitment Drive
I will be shortly launching a new recruitment drive for the Tokyo, we have several key positions now open. I am hoping some new blood coming aboard will help us with getting back upto a good pace again. Any new crew who join us will be also on their shoreleave until the ship heads back out into space.
I am looking forward to starting a new chapter for the Tokyo.
Regards
Captain Taiga Aisaka.

To all crew.
I understand have been rough for some of these last few months, I understand that life always come first. I myself have been battling my own issues, however I am now going to be pushing the mission ahead and leading to its end.
What's going on currently:
- The Tal Dianne has showed up and have engaged the Tal Shiar.
- Boarding teams from the Tal Dianne have beamed aboard and are assisting in retaking the Tokyo.
- The Tal Shiar are taking heavy losses.
Steps to do:
- The Tal Shiar will escape capture or destruction and retreat.
- The Tokyo will be secured by the boarding parties and remaining crew.
- The Tal Dianne will secure the area.
- The Tokyo will be towed back to Federation space by the USS Swashbuckler. Along with the USS Armitage.
- We will start on repairs and taking roll call of the crew.
- The Tokyo will be taken to the Beta Antares Fleet Yards for repairs in spacedock.
This is the point we will move onto the next mission. Sand Sea Fun and Surf.
I know its been a long mission, and we have broken the record for the longest mission in regards of posts! Well done to you all!
I look forward to moving on and getting some good writing done with you all!
Regards
