Mission:
Andromeda
Location: USS Tokyo
Previously on Star Trek Tokyo:
"Pilots, get into your ships. Switch to manual power and controls. Thats an order!" Fubuki called over the speakers.
"Way ahead of you, snowflake!" Came the call of Pickpocket over the radio. Mika had already been hard at work attempting to hotwire her fighter when Fubuki succeeded, and moments later, another Valkyrie sitting on the deck came to life.
One by one, the pilots began to follow Fubuki's example and reroute their Valkyries to auxiliary power. The air was filled with the roaring of thrusters and the hesitant warble of shielding grids coming back online.
Fubuki's eyes narrowed as purple beams of energy struck her craft. "Ok you bastards..." she said. "My turn!"
And now the continuation...
The Valkyries phaser cannons erupted, sending pulses of phaser fire into the huddle of constructs vaporising them upon impact. Fubuki swept the entire deck in front of her port to starboard, turning the constructs into nothing but air. Cheers could be heard from the flight deck as people celebrated and encouraged the young pilot on. Her phasers not only struck the constructs but also anything in their way, she was well aware of the damage she was doing to the flight decks interior, but in her opinion it was worth it.
Around this time, Mika's fighter slowly lifted off the deck. Mika was still working to get the weapons and shields online, but off the deck was out of the hands of the constructs for the time being.
"Heads up, Snowflake:" Mika alerted her boss. "Still got no shields or weapons, so watch where you're shooting."
"Don't worry. I got this," Fubuki replied back, at least their emergency radio was working. One of her stray shots bounced off the flight decks exterior doors, passing through the containment field. She tapped on her ear piece, guys I have a plan.
"Clear the deck!" Fubuki called out to the crew below. "Into the EV pods! Now!"
The crew still on the deck raced and scrambled towards the emergency environmental pods that lined the walls. They were built into the bulkheads, made for easy access for deck crew to jump into if the flight deck suddenly becomes decompressed.
Fubuki lined up the firing scope on her viewport with the exterior doors. "Ok, guys. Let's go out there and kick that other ships ass! That beam that's holding us here, that's our target!"
She opened fire on the space doors, the phaser cannons striking the thick solid metal. However they were heavily armoured and mostly resistant to phaser fire. "Damn..." Fubuki cursed.
Silica who had also jumped into a Valkyrie watched. A sudden dread popped into her head. "Snowflake, you're not going to do what I think you're going to do... are you?"
A single microtorpedo burst from Fubuki's fighter slamming into the door and blasting a hole just big enough to get a fighter through. Silica's eyes narrowed with a sigh. "Of course she does..."
"All pilots in fighters, let's go protect our ship. Once we're clear of the dampening field we can bring our full systems back. Split up when you're out there, swarm that beam, weapons on full." With that said Fubuki pushed on her sticks. The Valykrie shot forward towards the hole in the spacedoors, barely fitting through.
Silica followed suit, easily catching upto Fubuki.
=A=Triumph Squadron, fall in!=A= Nozomi radioed from the cockpit of her fighter. =A=Assault vector formation, we're going in hot!=A=
[Meanwhile on the bridge]
The blast from the spacedoors shook the whole Tokyo. Some of the constructs stumbled, however T'Ket remained perfectly stable floating just above the deck.
"Mistress," one of the larger Constructs said. "The spacedoors of this vessel have been compromised. Several attack auxiliaries have escaped."
T'Ket turned to the construct. "I told you to extinguish them all!" With a wave of her hand the construct burst into pieces like it had exploded from within.
Talia was watching the exchange hoping for some kind of miracle to happen.
Suddenly another voice boomed, echoing througout the ship as if it was spacious sea cave. "I TOLD YOU NO T'KET!"
T'Ket seemed taken aback by the sudden voice. She hesitated for a brief moment. "You are Lucky!" she stated before disappearing in a puff of smoke. All around her and over the entire ship the constructs stopped their slaughter and began to also disappear in small puffs of black smoke.
“What!?” Talia sat for a few moments half expecting something worse to happen, something that would effect the whole ship, but as it didn’t she slowly moved from where she was sitting getting to her feet in sheer astonishment.
Lieutenant Inoue stood gasping for breath as she tried to wrap her head around what had just happened. When it became evident that the spindly and her cronies wouldn't be returning, she released her death vice on the spear, causing it to clatter uselessly at her feet.
"What," she began once she managed to catch her breath, "the absolute fuck was that?!"
[In space]
As the Starfighters banked to begin their assault, the ship released the tractor beam on the Tokyo. A huge 'hole' in space opened behind it and as quickly as it appeared it disappeared backwards into it.
Fubuki raised an eyebrow in confusion, their target was gone. "Snowflake to all birds. Return home. Target has disengaged. I repeat return home, target has disengaged."
=A=But how do we know that they won't be coming back?=A= Lynette was quick to point out.
=A=Highlander has a point, Snowflake,=A= Nozomi agreed. =A=For all we know, they might be gearing up for a second wave.=A=
Fubuki thought about the situation for a few moments. She looked at the Tokyo and couldn't help but smile. The ship they had left had been nearly void of power, yet now the nacelle were starting to slowly glow blue again. "Looks like Tokyo has restored power. I've also got my main power back." Fubuki called back to the pilots.
Her comm subspace radio came back online and was showing an incoming general call. "Tokyo flight deck to all Starfighters. Return to home." Came the voice of Warrant Officer Roromiya.
"You heard her guys. Circle and prepare for landing clearance." Fubuki ordered. She sighed heavily at least now they were out of imminent danger.
