Mission: Caught in the Cracks
Location: USS Tokyo
Timeline: Immediately after "The Final Push"

ON

The ship suddenly emerged into regular space, intact. Alarms sounded and damage reports were streaming in from all sections of the ship.

"Captain, we're home."

Taiga let out a sigh of relief. "Secure all stations" she said as she sat back in her chair. "I want a full crew roll call, lets make sure we have everyone" she explained. She looked down over towards Mikko.

"Ensign. Drop a warning buoy here to alert any passing ships to stay away from that 'tear' or whatever it is. Then set course out of here towards the nearest starbase" Taiga ordered.

"Aye Captain" Mikko replied as she tapped on the console infront of her.

[Elsewhere]

"This is Soren." He said as he helped Bobbie Sue to her feet. "I'm with Bobbie Sue on deck 6, I think. We're fine. A little bruised, but fine."

Bobbie Sue was a little unsteady on her feet. "Thanks," she said to Soren.

"No problem." Soren replied softly before looking around. He paused a bit before looking over to Bobbie Sue and asking. "Do you need me to pat you down and check for injuries? I'll be happy to do it." He gave a slight smirk before letting out a laugh.

"I don't think a pat down is necessary--to check for injuries. And under normal circumstances, I would at least expect dinner first."

"I never said I wouldn't promise breakfast afterwards."

Bobbie Sue laughed appreciatively. "Come to think of it, isn't dinner already promised?"

"Yeah. So... you see." Soren replied. "Breakfast is kinda like a bonus. The post event prize. I just keep adding on the incentives. I should sell shuttle crafts. I would make a fortune."

She laughed again. "Dinner I get, but what's your incentive for breakfast?"

"It's what comes before breakfast." Soren paused slightly, raising a brow. "Are you honestly missing what I am hinting at?"

"No, but you haven't asked. Where's the romance?"

"Dinner?" Soren raised a brow. "Wouldn't that help establish if there would be any romance? I don't know if things have changed, but generally Dinner is sorta used to decide if there is potential for romance."

"But you're talking breakfast before determining if there is any romance to begin with," she said. "If I'm going to agree to breakfast, I want to be romanced." She gave him an innocent smile. "My father told me to keep my expectations high." There was a definite twinkle of humor in her eyes.

"Come on." Soren replied with a smirk, holding out his arms. "How could you not like this guy?" He threw up his thumbs and pointed to himself, chuckling slightly.

Bobbie Sue chuckled. "I am going to my quarters to shower and put on a clean jumpsuit. You can do whatever intelligence officers do." Actually, she had a very good idea what intelligence officers did as her uncle was in intelligence, but this was definitely not the time to mention him. She really wasn't sure if there was a good time to mention him.

"That's not a no." Soren replied with a smile before walking off. "That was definitely not a no."

Bobbie Sue heard him as she walked down the corridor. He was right. She did not say no. In fact, she hoped he'd invite her to dinner soon. Tonight would be fine, but she wasn't sure he got the hint. Only time would tell.

[Cargo Bay]

Alora felt the engines come to life. "No. Computer, locate the Prowler."

"Please clarify request." The Computer replied in its feminine, and monotone, voice.

Of course it wouldn't know the name of Alex' ship. "The shuttle that was here in the cargo bay. Where did it go?"

"There is no record of a shuttle in the cargo bay."

"Computer, locate Alex Knight."

"There is no Alex Knight assigned to the USS Tokyo."

She would find him. Somehow, she would find him. But right now, her heart felt like it was breaking.

[Bridge]

Taiga stood up as the ship cleared the area, the warning buoy now signalling any ships that stray close to the dangers in the area. She looked around and couldn't help but smile, at least they had come out of their encounter alive. With reports still coming in about the status of her crew and ship, she opened a general comm call to all decks.

"All hands this is Captain Aisaka" she started. "We are en route to Starbase 56, we should be arriving within two days. All senior staff are to report to my ready room for a debrief" she said simply. She looked around the bridge, gave a nod to the officers and then proceeded into her ready room.

Alora was still sitting on the deck in the cargo bay. "Tau'Ri to sickbay. I need a doctor."

"This is sickbay. Where are you?"

"Cargo bay."

"Initiating site-to-site transport."

A moment later, Alora materialized onto a biobed.

[Ready Room, two hours later]

The door of the ready room was unlocked so that senior staff could enter when they arrived. Taiga was taken her usual spot behind her desk waiting for the others to arrive.

T'Shenn walked in rubbing her head. "My apologies if it seemed I was inactive during this mission Captain. Things happened so fast I couldn't keep up. I have a full report here for you. The only good thing I can say is that my counterpart died a warrior's death. She's now free of her slavery. If only we could all go out that way." She handed over her PADD with her report.

Alora limped slowly into the ready room. She was mostly healed, but her leg would take a few days to fully recover. She nodded somberly to the captain and took her seat.

Taiga was more or less laid forward on her desk, very tired from the experience from the whole encounter with the mirror universe.

Soren walked into the ready room at took a seat.

"Ok guys" she said simply as she straightened herself up. "We're limping back home. I want to just say that you all did very well out there. That could have gone a whole lot worse. Once we're at the Starbase I am authorising full R&R to all crew" she paused. "However right now, I want you all to talk those under you and make sure everyone is alright. We need to determine the damage not just to the Tokyo, but to the crew aswell" she paused again.

"Does anyone have anything they wish to bring up" She asked looking directly at Alora. "Of course, you can all speak freely. Mistakes might happen, but if you learn from them then I don't really care..." she was still looking at Alora. "Alora?"
