Mission: Allegations
Location: USS Tokyo (NCC-91101)
Timeline: Approximately 1 hour after "The New Kids On The Flight Deck (Part 3)"

Previously on Star Trek Tokyo:

The door to Soren's quarters opened just before he popped his head out. "What's with all the racket?!" He shouted as he looked around, finally spotting Silica. "Hey... pig-tails? What's with all the noise? Me and Bettie have some Department Head business to do and I was trying to catch my beauty sleep."

And now the continuation...

Silica looked up, locking eyes with Soren. She pushed off the ensign, although she was very unsteady. "Its TWIN-TAILS!" she part shouted, part said, part slurred. "Jesh! I have to tell you... every time!"

Soren walked out of his quarters, fighter jumpsuit still on, as he held a spherical device in his hand. "Settle down, Silly. I'm a superior officer. You want to raise your voice to me?" He raised a brow and smirked as he tossed the device up slightly before catching it in his other hand.

Silica looked away. "Whatever" she said wobbling slightly. "I need my bed right now"

"You know Silica. With the attitude, pigtails, and in normal clothes. You could easily be mistaken for a little child." Soren tossed the device again, smirking, as he caught it in the other hand. "You gonna answer my question or not?" He reached into his pocket and pulled out a chocolate bar. "There's a nice, chocolaty, treat in it for you."

Silica stopped. "Is that really... for me?" she asked.

"It can be, Silly. All you got to do is answer my question." Soren replied as he stepped off the wall and walked toward her slowly.

"Don't Silica!" Fubuki piped up from further down the corridor. "Its a traaap!"

Soren kept his eyes focused on Silica as he pointed to Fubuki and shouted. "No one asked your opinion, Snowball." He eased slightly closer, waving the candy bar slightly at Silica, before saying. "If you don't want it, Silly. I can put it away and eat is myself later. I understand. I mean, if you don't know whats going on, then there is no reason to ask you." He looked up and around, pretending to look for someone else. "I can always ask someone else for the information. Maybe Bobcat would like a chocolate bar. All nice... and fresh... and chocolaty."

Silica stared at him, her focus varying between the bar and the his face. "Yes. I want it. I...." she paused to think. "Need it!"

"Yes, Silly." Soren smirked, putting on an amusing evil stare, as he leaned back. "Be lured to the darkside by this chocolate treat." He soon let out a slight chuckle before asking blatantly. "So... what's going on with all the new faces, Pigtails?"

You could see that it took a few seconds for the question to register in Silica's intoxicated brain. She pondered for a few seconds. "Dunno. This is a new girl. She says shes a pilot." she paused again before smiling at the Lieutenant.

"For the love of humanity..." Soren said softly to himself before looked up and around. He shouted. "Come on, People! She's 5 feet and 110lbs of pure feathers! What, on Earth, made you feel like she could handle drinking? Think of her teeny tiny braincells struggling to survive under the pressure of alcohol. Have you no shame?!" He shook his head before looking back down to Silica. "You give me some names, Silly, and I'll break their legs for what they did to you? Just take the chocolate and walk away. You've suffered enough."

"Yay Chocolate!" Silica said as she snatched the chocolate from his hand and proceeded to unwrap it.

Soren shook his head as he pat Silica on the top of the head. "Who gave you the bad alcohol, Silly?" He gestured to the Ensign, Nozomi, Silica mentioned earlier. "Was it her?" He looked to Nozomi and raised a brow, looking very unpleased. "Was it you?"

"Nope; just found them this way," the new girl shrugged. There was a puzzled look on her face as she sized up the Lieutenant standing in front of her, but it was impossible to tell what exactly she was thinking.

Soren raised a brow, tilting his head slightly, as he looked at the Ensign oddly. Something about her. Something familiar. For a while, he couldn't place it, until finally it hit him. As his face shifted from curious, to surprised, he said softly. "J-Pop? Is that you?"

The ensign's brow furrowed for a second or two before something finally clicked into place; her expression at once shifted to a look of total of astonishment.

"No way," she gaped in disbelief. "Sorenchi?"

"Wait, you know the infamous Saibogu of Team Emperor??" Shingo gasped in surprise.

"We go a ways back," the Ensign muttered, still not quite sure what to make of this. "But I hadn't been expecting to bump into him here of all places..."

"It's been a long time, Nozomi." Soren said as he slipped the spherical device into his pocket and into the charging device built into his bionic leg.

Surprise quickly gave way to elation as that cheeky smile that Soren knew and loved (OOC for Voz: in a totally platonic way, at least for now; also, if you don't approve of this, let me know and I'll try and alter it) spread across her face.

"Get over here and hug me, you big oaf!" she exclaimed, wrapping her free arm around Soren's waist and yanking him in before he could raise an objection. "Where you been all this time, Sorenchi?"

Soren embraced Nozomi, almost having to lift her as far as her tipey toes, because of their size difference. As he let her down he smiled at her and replied. "You know me, J-Pop. I can never sit still so I ended up doing things, here and there, in order to keep flying."

"Still down here you know..." The muffled voice of Silica called from between them. It was like they had forgotten that the tiny fighter pilot had been using Nozomi for support.

"My bad," Nozomi chuckled, breaking the hug and re-orienting Silica on her shoulder before turning her attention back to Soren. "Man, I still can't believe it; I'd read in the horoscopes today that I was going to run into something from my past, but this was still a welcome surprise!"

Soren chuckled softly, ending it in a smile, as he crossed his arms over his chest and replied. "Galaxy has its own sense of humor, Nozomi. I learned to just accept it and learn to duck when possible."

"Truer words have not been spoken," Nozomi winked.

"Right, that's all well and good and all, but we still have two drunk Lieutenants who still risk demotion if we don't get them sober in time." Shingo piped up.

"You know what I hear, Boss?" Soren replied, a smile on his face, as he put his hands in his pockets. "That sounds more like a you problem than a me problem? I mean, they did get in this condition on your watch, didn't they? But if you ask me, and I know you didn't but I'll say it anyway, you can only request they get demoted. It's really up to Sorceress and Trig and how they are feeling today." He gave Shingo a playful wink before focusing his attention back to Nozomi and saying. "Hey J-Pop, why don't you come on in and we can talk old times while Shingo-a-gogo takes care of Pigtails and Snowbells?"

"Oh, I really do appreciate the offer, Sorenchi," Nozomi expressed, lightly adjusting Silica as she felt her beginning to slip. "But I was the one who found these two, so I at least owe them the courtesy of seeing them back to their quarters. Not to mention, I've got about half an hour to settle in before I'm expected to report for duty, so I'm afraid we'll have to catch up some other time. But can I promise you a drink once I'm done with my duty assignments for the day?"

Soren nodded his head, keeping to his smile, as he leaned against the doorway to his quarters. "Same old Nozomi. Can't say that I'm disappointed, but you know me, I've always respected your decision. You do what you gotta do. You'll know where to find me when you're all set, J-Pop. I still have that Saki you gave me."

"Oh, you do?" Nozomi replied, her eyes widening with delight. "I'll have to take you up on it!"

"Can we have... some... Sake too?" Silica hiccuped. "It sounds... nice..."

"I'd say you've had enough!" Nozomi laughed.

I don't get it... Shingo thought to himself as Nozomi and Soren chatted amongst themselves. I watched Takeshi lose to this guy and new girl here has a history with him? What is the galaxy coming to?
