Mission:
Behind Closed Doors
Location: Sickbay
Timeline: Back Post: After Romulan Mission
The medics had been busy with many of the other people who were hurt through the ship, so once the battle was over, K'Eltora picked up her mate and made her way to sickbay.
T'Shenn's face was bleeding from the console explosion, but she was a strong warrior and refused to give up living just for a minor injury. There was green all over her face and her uniform. K'Eltora didn't want to look, for it hurt her, even though she knew her mate was strong. She didn't see if there were any more injuries to the woman she loved from her conn console exploding in front of her. She knew she would have to tell Karlassa eventually, but that was not an easy task. but she would meet it like a Klingon Warrior.
Soon the two entered sickbay and K'Eltora bellowed, "DOCTOR! YOUR SERVICES ARE NEEDED POST HASTE!" She walked over to a bio bed and gently put the broken form of T'Shenn down on the bed. She cupped her cheek gently then looked around for the Doctor.
T'Shenn still had enough strength left in her to raise her mangled hand and placed it against K'Eltora's and bury her cheek in the hand holding it.
K'Eltora kept a straight face for a second then became angry. "Where in Gre'thor is that damn doctor!?"
With the Tokyo's Chief Medical Officer having been killed during the battle with the Romulans, there were no doctors on duty in Sickbay. As such, the EMH had automatically been activated when the first patients had rolled in. At the sound of someone yelling, an unfamiliar woman with Commander's pips moved over to where the two were at. At a first glance, she could easily see the blast wound on the woman's face, which was bleeding badly. "I need a nurse here!" She said, as she immediately went to work on stabalizing the wound, which was the most critical. "I'm surprised no one has treated you yet."
K'Eltora said, "No one made it to the bridge in time. She will live?"
"If I can treat this wound quickly enough, yes." She said, as she went to work to stop the bleeding, and close the wound up. As she did, she looked at T'Shenn. "Lieutenant, we're a little short on pain medications, so you're going to feel some pain as I do what needs to be done. I need you to stay with me."
T'Shenn looked at the Doctor. "You're kidding, right? Doc, listen, I am a warrior. Pain is not an issue. I can't see out of my eye at the moment. Probably temporary, but it has me mad."
"Just relax." Liana said as she continued to work. "I'll have you fixed up in no time." She managed to quickly stop the bleeding, before taking a closer look with her Tricorder. "The overall damage isn't really that bad. I'll be able to restore your sight, and send you back on duty."
T'Shenn nodded. "Thank you doctor. At least I stayed at my post as longa s I could."
K'Eltora smiled. "A story worthy of telling our daughter."
"Sometimes it's better to let others take over your job, when things get rough." Liana replied, as she started working with the Dermal regenerator. She found she was annoyed that a nurse hadn't come to help, but hadn't said anything, because of the other patients in sickbay. "The area around your eye may be sore for a few days."
T'Shenn looked at her. "Not the way of the Warrior, doctor. Thank you for your assistance." She growled a bit as she started to sit up.
"Maybe not." Liana replied. She took a step back, putting her tools back on the table. "But it is a good way to help make sure you stay alive to fight another day."
T'Shenn looked at her and then laughed. "That may be, Doctor, but today is always a good day to die."
"I'm a doctor, not a warrior." Liana replied with a smirk. "It's my job to heal injuries, and prevent death, whenever possible.
After a few minutes, the EMH stepped back and smiled. "Ok, you're all done. No one is dying in sickbay today. Make sure you get plenty of rest though, you wouldn't want to open any old wounds" she explained simply.
T'Shenn nodded and said, "I take it my eye problem will heal in time?"
"Yes" the EMH replied. "I have repaired most of the damage, but the rest will return to normal within a couple of weeks. There is nothing I can do to speed up the body's natural recovery rate, You may go when you like, but please rest"
