Mission: Captains & Contraband
Location: Ready Room

Taiga had been in her ready room for several hours now. Safe to say she wasn't feeling too sociable after the events of the last few days. She had already thrown a potted plant at an ensign from Engineering who had no idea what he was on about and had already literally thrown someone out of her office. Safe to say she wasn't in a good mood for visitors.

Mimi walked onto the bridge and towards the Captains ready room, now that she was back to good health after she crash she'd decided to finally introduce herself to the Captain, on the way across the bridge she was stopped by Binea who sat at the Ops console. "The boss is in a bad mood Lieutenant, so be careful." She told Mimi.

"Thanks for the heads up." Mimi said back to Binea using a phrase she often heard humans using, one of several she'd picked up in her 11 years amongst them. Heading across to the ready room she tapped the chime.

"It better be important" Came the reply from the other side of the door.

Deciding that introducing the Captain to one of her new senior officers was kinda important Mimi opened the door and walked in, she saw Taiga sat behind her desk and stepped up closer. "Commander Aiska." She said standing as close to attention as she could manage, her tail worming its way between her legs as it always did "Lieutenant Mimi, your new chief of Ops."

Taiga looked up at Mimi. "Aisaka" she corrected her. "I suppose I should say welcome aboard Lieutenant. I heard about your arrival, obviously it was a lucky escape. For all of you"

"Sorry Commander, english is a second language for me and I sometimes struggle with complex names." from looking at the personnel manifest there were several other crew of japanese and chinese descent onboard and they all had complex sounding names.

"I see" Taiga replied. She hadn't really read much about her file. "However I have noticed that you're the only one of your species in Starfleet" she explained.

"That is correct, my colony was destroyed when I was young, a starfleet ship found me, only me." Even 11 years on from the day Mimi didnt like talking about the attack that left her an orphan.

Taiga nodded. "I have read your file" she said. "I know all about the Klingon attack on your colony, and I know what its like to have others destroy what you've always wanted. Romulans for example, sneaky little bastards who sometimes don't give TWO SHITS about who thay are shooting!" Taiga explained a slight angry tense to her tone.

Mimi's ears twitched back as she heard the agressive outburst from the commander, the only things she knew about Romulans were what she got told at the academy, that they are very sneaky and very hard to trust.

"Sorry" Taiga said. "I'm still angry at the events caused by the Romulans" she explained. "Do you have transfer orders?" she asked.

"Sure." Mimi pulled a Padd out of her uniform pocket and handed it across.

Taiga took the PaDD and slotted it into her desktop console. It flashed and bleeped a few times.
"This all seems in order" she said. She pulled out the PaDD and handed it back. "Report to Commander Daxer, she's the Executive Officer and will be sorting out the crew manifests"

Taking the Padd and dropping it back in her pocket Mimi nodded "Understood Commander."

Taiga turned back to her console. "If there isn't anything else Lieutenant, then dismissed" Taiga said rather bluntly.

"Commander." Mimi turned to leave the ready room, she'd expected a little more talk with her first meeting with the Co. It seemed Binea's warning was spot on.

Taiga was too busy on her console to see her leave, she just sighed as she read over the reports. She wasn't having a good day.
