Taiga vs T'Vek

Mission: Captains & Contraband
Location: Romulan Starbase

Taiga stood at the docking hatch of the Freighter. It opened with a hiss and she was greeted by two Romulan Tal Shiar officers both armed with disruptor rifles.
"You must be my escort" she said simply. They nodded and led her off the ship onto the starbase. It wasn't like any starbase she had ever seen, its long corridors had hardly any doors and there were only a few intersections. She also didn't see anyone else until they reached the command area of the base.

The command center was a large circular design. A huge holographic chart of local space was hanging above everyones heads. Looking up at it a Romulan stood. It was obvious from his silvery uniform, blue cape and his shoulder pads he was the commander of the base.
"Ah" he said turning to face Taiga. "You must be the woman who returned with one of my freighters" he said as he held out a hand to lead her into the command office.

Taiga knew that this probably wasn't a good thing. She wasn't sure what he knew or if he knew who she was. She silently followed. This didn't seem to be going very well, especially since this was her idea to try and get some secrets out of him. The doors closed behind them and the Romulan ushered for the guards to leave.
"So then. Aisaka. Care to tell me what happened out there?" he asked as he slid into his seat behind the desk and reached under the desk for something.
"A Starfleet ship attacked us. When the Captain was killed, I took over" Taiga explained plainly.
"I see" he said. "Well, how about I tell you what happened?" he explained as he pointed the disruptor pistol at her that he had under the desk.

"Commander Taiga Aisaka. Assigned to the Federation Starship Tokyo" he said with a smile. "Did you think it would be this easy to slip under my nose?" he asked. "I must admit though, you did well to get this far"
"What can I say" Taiga said with a sigh dropping the act. "You got me". She crossed her arms and sat back. She locked eyes with the Romulan. "Do I get the hospitality of your name?".
"It would only be... polite of me to tell you" He said with a smile which caused Taiga to feel a little uneasy. "I'm Sub Admiral T'Vek of the Tal Shiar. Now tell me why did you take over one of my freighters and come back here, are you planning on destroying my starbase?" he asked.
"Well now that you ask" Taiga began. "We were tracing illegal goods smuggling over our border. But you already know all that. We were here only to collect information and then report back to our superiors" Taiga explained. "But then again, you probably know that too don't you?"
"Indeed I do" T'Vek said as he sat back in his chair, the disruptor still pointed firmly at her.

There was a few tense moments between them as T'Vek and Taiga stared at each other. It was finally broken by Taiga. "Well now you've got me. What do you intend to do with me?" she asked.
"Oh I'm not too sure just yet" T'Vek said. "How do I know that you haven't rigged that freighter to explode right in my spacedock?" he asked.
"You don't" Taiga replied.
"So we can't trust one another. There isn't any other options is there" T'Vek said. He began to tap on the side panel to bring up something.
"I wouldn't if I were you" Taiga said as she gripped the side of her chair.

The station shook badly throwing everyone around. The Troy had been rigged to explode. Its self destruct sequence blasted a huge gaping hole in the side of the base, knocking out several systems including the stations cloaking device and security systems. The power began to short out and the console to T'Vek's right blew up. In the confusion Taiga jumped out of her chair, vaulted over the desk grabbed the pistol from his hand. T'Vek looked up at her right before she drove the pistol into his mouth and fired blasting a hole through the back of his head.
"You're right. It was rigged to explode, and we're taking down this station!" she said.

The doors to the office opened. Taiga ducked down behind the desk and green beams shot across the room from her pistol. Once the security teams were down on the deck Taiga tapped the comm badge hidden under her jacket.
"Taiga to all Teams. Begin hostile takeover operations" she ordered.
