Thomas watched as Nezuko left their quarters and turned to Talia. Reaching over for her hand, "So... tell me what's on your mind."
Talia held onto Thomas’ hand. “I guess it’s what happens now? I enjoyed last night, but is it something we want to do again? Nezuko is a good friend, I’m afraid of complicating things and affecting our friendship.”
"Amphea culture is very different... close friends often partake." Thomas replied. "If you are worried about this..." He motioned between the two of them. "You are the one I come home to at night. You are the one I love. Nothing is ever going to change this."
Talia nodded. “I guess the thought was lingering in the back of my mind, don’t get me wrong I do trust you.” She smiled as she squeezed his hand. “I guess it’s the hormones talking.”
"Its not for everyone. We are anything but normal, you know that. I’m not against fun. As long as understanding between all involved."
Talia smiled. “Understanding is good. I think we should all sit down together and talk about where we go from here, it’ll help to settle any questions.”
"I think that would be a good idea." He agreed, they had all eaten breakfast, so now it was time to head out. "Let me walk you to your office."
Talia nodded. “That would be nice, no doubt we’ll be up to our ears in work pretty soon and wishing we were back on shoreleave.”
"Thats what I am worried about... I am going to monitor the Captains responses on the bridge, when we leave if I see something concerning i will talk to her about talking to you... she seems to be out for blood... Which is understandable, but with her hormones, and everything else shes dealing with... as well as the enemy causing her the loss of her previous pregnancy."
Talia nodded. “That’s a good idea, we’re more or less heading into unknown territory, it’s a giant risk for all of us and I can’t say I’m looking forward to it.”
"Truth be told, I didn't like the last encounter we had with them." Thomas replied as he took her hand. "But one thing at a time." Bringing her close he kissed her. "This I can do all day every day and will never get bored of it." He smiled. "You are the most amazing woman I have ever laid eyes on."
Talia couldn’t help but melt into Thomas’ embrace, he had that effect on her every time they were together. “All I want is to be with you for the rest of my days. You complete me in ways I can’t even put into words.”
"How about we take the long way to your office."
Talia nodded. “Sure, why not?” She smiled before she gave him a more serious look. “Tom if anything should happen, if I get taken...” she paused. “Do what you have to do, just don’t let them hurt our baby. If it comes down to a choice our little one comes first.”
"Nothing is going to happen, and the choice will always be you... understood."
Talia gave Thomas a glaring look before her gaze softened and she nodded. “Understood.”
"Good." Thomas replied squeezing her hand tighter. "The ugly one always has to go first. That would be me."
“No way in hell” Talia gave him a serious look. “You’re going nowhere without me Imzadi.”
"Drs orders?"
“Most definitely Doctor’s order’s!” Talia smiled. “Seriously though, we don’t really know what could happen. Though I guess the same could be said of any mission we go on.”
"That's why I've always believed in living life to the fullest with the people you love. Have fun along the way, but don't forget those that make the journey worth while."
Talia nodded. “I love the way you think, it’s one of the many reasons why I fell in love with you.” She smiled warmly. “No matter what the future holds I’ll always be here with you, come hell or high water as the saying goes.”
"Good, now lets go before you are late for work."
“I am never late for work” Talia smiled. “Besides I always give myself a thirty minute window before my first appointment, that way if for any reason I am late it won’t affect my patients.” She smiled.
"Thats a good strategy." Thomas agreed "Ill have to remember it."
“Just as long as you don’t make it a habit.” Talia grinned.
"The only habit i like is doing anything with you. Corny I know."
“Not at all” Talia grinned playfully. “Just you wait until tonight.”
"Can't wait." He replied as they came up to her office door.
“Well I guess I’ll have to wait until later to enjoy your company again” Talia pouted playfully.
"Your door has a lock doesn't it?"
“It does” Talia grinned. “I get the feeling that you’re wanting more than a goodbye kiss.” She stepped back through her office door taking him with her. “Come right this way...”
"Now what ever gave you that idea," He replied as the door closed. "Computer, lock doors."
Talia giggled as she helped Thomas out of his clothes as quickly as she could, there was something fun about being naughty this way.
