Location: XO's Office
Timeline: Before the away team

Thomas was sitting in his office going over the files that came across his desk, what long range sensors got from the movements of the Iconians, so far nothing. But it seemed like starfleet wasn't waiting, they were sending ships to patrol pretty close to the border of Iconian space.

"Commander, there is a call coming in for you. From the USS Iroquois, a Captain Johnson." Came over his badge.

"Patch it through." Tom replied as he turned his chair to the screen.

"Thomas, it has been a while. I see you made it to First officer, to one of the most notable ships in the fleet. Soon you will be gaining the fourth pip." The Captain replied over the screen.

"All in due time Brother, Captain Aisaka is a good teacher, wouldn't want to leave before i got everything i need to captain my own." Thomas replied as he went through more of the files. Noticing the ships that were being sent. "You heading towards the iconian space?"

"I need some one thats dealt with them before to debrief me." Alexander replied as he leaned forward. "What am I looking at out there."

"Losses if you want me to be honest. The ships you take isn't going to be enough." Thomas replied as he leaned back. "They are so far ahead of us, I don't know how many ships would be needed."

"The excalibur is probably more tougher than the Tokyo little brother, I am sure we can at least put some dents in if we find battle, however, its not our assignment. Its only to patrol, and to keep an eye on our new friends out there nothing more."

"The klingons sent some as well to patrol, they were destroyed." Thomas replied as he went over the reports. "15 bird of preys."

"They probably instigated the fight, you know they can't resist a new enemy." Alexander replied as he leaned back. "Its only for a few weeks."

"Could be. Be careful out there, I would hate to be the only one to reach admiralty because you were killed when you were captain."

"Trust me, I know what I am doing."

"Famous last words. Send my regards to Jade."

"I hear congrats are heading to you, married and kid on the way."

"And another special someone, amphean."

Raising an eyebrow, "Wow, you really do like them exotic. I look forward to meeting them."

"As do I, Be safe brother."
