| Personal History | Born in Japan, Minori grew up as any normal Japanese child would. It was in middle school that she met Taiga Aisaka and they quickly became friends in their first year. However when Taiga signed up for Starfleet at Sixteen, Minori wanted to go into High School. She was good with her grades and graduated at the age of Eighteen. She still kept in touch with Taiga and when Minori started Starfleet Academy Taiga was two years above her. Minori enlisted in Starfleet under Engineering as she was good with her hands. At age twenty two, she graduated the Academy with the rank of Ensign and was assigned aboard the USS Yozemite. She served on Yozemite as a junior engineering officer. She stayed aboard until crew rotations came when she was twenty four and was up for promotion. She made Lieutenant Junior Grade and assigned as the assistant Chief Engineer of the USS Fletcher. The Fletcher being a small scout vessel was easy for Minori to work with. She was known as being the cheerful one and always smiling whilst on duty. After three years she was promoted to Lieutenant and was up for reassignment. Now twenty seven she was looking at bigger challenges. Luckily for her, Utopia Planetia snapped her up to work on the new Armitage Class Vessels. She was assigned as a Yard Engineer and a Team Leader of the engineering teams working on the USS Armitage. After a year Minori took the Armitage out on her space trails. She and the skeleton crew returned her with several upgrades and reccomendations for the design and shipyard crew. Minori now twenty eight was then given a field promotion to Commander which surprised her. She was informed by Starfleet Command that the field promotion to Commander was due to her knowledge of the ship, her attitude towards others and the fact the ship needed a commander who could fully test her out. Minori stayed in Command of the Armitage as a Commander for the next three years. In that time the ship peformed well, and the reccomendations and upgrades she had suggested had been incorportated into the other three ships of its class, the USS Broadsword, USS Oceania and the USS Tokyo. The USS Tokyo now being commanded by Minori's old friend Taiga Aisaka. Starfleet then decided to give her full Captaincy of the Armitage as a reward for her hard work. She found herself with four pips on her chest as she made the Captain Rank. Which she had held since. |
